Brown hopes Dial can maintain unbeaten home run.

**Final league game of the season**

Dial will step out at Alwyns Lane for the last time this season when Steve Brown’s side host the University of Surrey this evening (23 April). 7:30pm k.o.

Fresh from celebrating the club’s first silverware on Saturday, Dial will be looking to right the wrong when they lost 2-1 to the University students back in November. It remains Dial’s only defeat in 33 league and cup games this season.

Although 41 points separate Dial from their University opponents in the table, the students have four games remaining and could still finish in the top six if they win all their games.

Despite losing 3-2 to Laleham & Kempton on Saturday (20 April), the students have the ability to pull some surprise results out of the bag, which have included an 8-2 win over Farncombe and a 6-1 win over Lightwater United in recent months.

Today’s visitors could also field eight different sides at any one time with 89 players registered to play for the first team, which is 60 more than Dial.

Brown will again be without Jordan Carter, Louie Rogers, Dave Porcher and Arnie Linturn for tonight’s clash. Matt Bunyan also looks doubtful, which could see Brown make his sixth league appearance of the season to help shore up the backline.

At the other end of the pitch, striker Harry Rice is just one league goal away from reaching the 40-goal milestone and three away from notching 50 goals in all competitions.

Speaking to DialSquareFC.com ahead of tonight's fixture, Brown said: "The players are keen to get one over the University of Surrey after they beat us last time around.

"The University team has the potential to field a very good side. In fact, if they fielded the same side as they did against us earlier in the season, I'm sure they would be much higher up the table.

"Although we have a few players unavailable for this evening, I'm expecting us to pick up where we left at the weekend against Shottermill and finish off with another dominant display at home.

"It will be a good way to close the [league] season and help us to prepare for our cup final on 2 May," added Brown.

For supporters and football enthusiasts travelling to Alwyns Lane by train, the nearest rail station is Chertsey, which is a c. 15-minute walk (via Guildford Street and Windsor Street) to the ground (map). Please check South Western Railway’s live timetable here prior to departure.

For those travelling by car, Alwyns Lane football ground offers very limited parking, which is principally for players and match officials. Therefore, spectators are asked to park with consideration in the neighbouring residential streets.
