With manager Steve Brown away, Dial coach Jake Kennett will take charge of the technical area for the first time since joining the club in June from Hambledon.

Kennett will use this afternoon's outing for several players to get extra minutes before the curtain raiser against East Preston next Saturday (3pm) at Brookwood Country Park Football Ground (Redding Way).

It's been a good pre-season workout for Dial to date, with impressive displays against Windsor & Eton (step 4) and Knaphill (step 5) before a depleted Dial side drew 1-1 with Cove last Saturday (25 July) at Royal Holloway Sports Centre.

Today's opponents will be eager to build upon their form at the end of last season's Surrey Premier County Football League (step 7) campaign, which saw the Stones move out of the relegation zone to finish in a healthy mid-table position.

They have already entertained Ascot United, Manocroft United, Tongham U23s, Chertsey Old Salesians, and CB Hounslow & Abbots in pre-season, before they kick-off their 2026/27 league campaign at home against reigning champions Worcester Park in a fortnight's time.

Brown, meanwhile, has strengthened his squad by securing the signature of pacey full-back Joshua Adeji from Guildford City. Adeji made 33 appearances for The Sweeney over the past two seasons. Vice-captain George Frith has also recommitted himself to The Dial after picking up the Players' Player of the Year and Manager's Player of the Year awards last season.
