Dial Square held its annual end of season awards this afternoon to recognise and celebrate the success of a number of standout performers during the 2024/25 season.
Aidan Phillips again picked up the prestigious Manager’s Player of the Year award. Phillips made 31 league and cup appearances for The Dial during the 2024/25 season and received the man of the match award five times. His goal in the 4-1 defeat against Worcester Park (2 May) was also considered by many to be the goal of the season.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Andy Rider, who announced his retirement in May, won the coveted Players’ Player of the Year award in a closely fought poll. Rider made 27 league and cup appearances for Dial during the 2024/25 season (57 appearances in total over two seasons), during which he pulled off some unbelievable saves.
Influential captain Will Neville was named the Clubman of the Year. Neville made 24 league and cup appearances for The Dial during the 2024/25 season and won the man of the match award five times.
Aidan Doran received the Chairman’s Player of the Year award. After joining the club in September 2024, Doran impressed during his 12 league and cup appearances for The Dial, during which he won the man of the match award twice. He also assisted boss Steve Brown in the technical area on a couple of occasions while injured.
For the second consecutive year, Harry Rice won the Golden Boot (Top Scorer) award for notching 29 goals (28 registered) during the 2024/25 season. Rice was the only player to play in all of Dial’s league and cup matches. He also topped the 2024/25 Surrey Premier County Football League scorers’ table, having won the Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) Premier Division in 2024.
There was also a special Volunteer Award too for Sam Mason in recognition of her support and assistance during the 2024/25 season.
