Dial face their toughest challenge of the season tonight (23 Sept) when they travel to three-time Surrey Premier County Football League champions, Wimbledon Casuals, at the Xcel Sports Hub. 7:45pm..
For boss Brown, it's a case of unfinished business after The Dons beat Dial on the final game of the season, resulting in Dial missing out on promotion to the National League System (steps 1-6) on goal difference.
The Dons have been an undeniable success story over the past few years, which was cemented last season when they achieved a league and county cup double without losing a game.
After just four games, The Dons top the table and remain the only side in the division to retain a 100% record. In fact, you have to go as far back as 10 February 2024 when tonight's hosts lost their last league game at home against Staines & Lammas (Middlesex) 2-1, something that Brown is keen to address.
Despite a formidable campaign last season, The Dons only narrowly beat Bagshot 2-1 (home and away) in their past two league fixtures; an indication that they've yet to get into the stride.
Meanwhile, Dial will be hoping to emulate their performance level away to Cranleigh nine days ago, which resulted in a rounding 5-1 win.
Brown is expected to keep faith with nigh on the same squad that won away at Glebelands (3G) the Saturday before last, with Aidan Doran the only expected absentee and Michael Burton subject to a late fitness test.
Speaking to Dial SquareFC.com on Monday, Brown said: "Compared to when we last played Wimbledon [Casuals] in May, I feel the squad's in a much better place in terms of experience and strength and depth.
"Take nothing away from Wimbledon though, they are a very good side. They were difficult to break down last season, and they will undoubtedly be difficult to break down this season too.
"There will be minimal changes to the side, so I'm expecting my players to turn in a good performance. I'm confident with the squad we will have, so it's bound to be a good spectacle under the lights," added Brown.
