Dial Square FC Removed From The Surrey Cup

Dial Square Football Club is extremely disappointed to announce that the Surrey FA has taken the decision to remove us from the ‘Surrey County Junior Cup’ Semi-Final, for an alleged breach of Rule 9 (d) in our quarter-final match.

In alerting us of our expulsion today, the Surrey FA stated that because Brad Pegg had played a number of games this season at senior level (8), this amount of games was too much for him to be allowed to play for us in the competition, making him ineligible.
However, they also gave us special dispensation to sign Tony Trinder who played 10 games at senior level and, who featured for us in our first round match.

We have only ever played the players we’ve been given authorisation for. At no point do we conceal our team-sheets and we publicly announce them prior to matches commencing on all our social media channels.
The club was told Brad Pegg could play for us, which is why he featured in our 3-0 win versus AFC Royal Holloway 'Reserves', which was the round before the quarter-final!

We are extremely frustrated and upset for our fans, staff and players, who have worked so hard to achieve their place in the semi-final on merit alone.

We will be appealing this decision immediately.
