We've been advised by the Surrey FA that our 2026 Saturday Intermediate County Cup semi-final tie away to FC Battersea Ironsides has been postponed pending an ongoing investigation.

It follows Ironsides reportedly fielding an ineligible player in their 2-1 win over Addlestone in the quarter-finals on 14 February.

Under competition rule 9 (c), any player who has taken part in a senior cup or senior league game (i.e.,step 6 or above of the National League System] during the current season shall be deemed ineligible.

We've been informed that Ironsides have appealed the county FA's decision, meaning that our scheduled semi-final tie on 7 March will need to be rescheduled pending the outcome of the hearing.

Dial are due to play The Irons in the league this Saturday (27 Feb), in what would have been a precursor to the county cup in eight days' time.
