Dial continue their pre-season preparations today (22 July) they travel to Kings College Community Sports Hub to play Guildford City in fourth of seven pre-season friendlies. 7:30pm k o.
Despite the recent results against Windsor & Eton (step 5), Cove (step 6) and Knaphill (step 5) boss Steve Brown has been encouraged by Dial's pre-season showing, where Dial have deliberately selected opposition one or two levels higher.
This evening's fixture against Guildford City (step 5), who finished mid-table in last season's Combined Counties Football League Premier Division South, is no different. It will be another tough test for Brown's new-look squad, as The Sweeney, now managed by Carl Taylor, prepare to take on Sutton Common Rovers in the Extra Preliminary Round of The FA Cup on 2 August.
Brown is hoping to have a strong squad available to face City, as plans for the 2025/26 season begin to take shape.
For fans travelling to Kings College Community Sports Hub,, there is limited parking onsite, so you may need to park curb-side along Park Barn Drive or Southway. As always, please consider local residents. The venue is not easily accessible by public transport.
