After a useful pre-season workout against Frimley Green at Royal Holloway Sports Centre on Saturday (4 July), Dial boss Steve Brown has upped the intensity to see how his players will fare against The Royalists, who now ply their trade in the Isthmian Football League South Central Division (step 4).

The last time the two sides met was in a pre-season friendly at Surrey Sports Park on 8 July 2025, after which the Windsorians went onto to finish runners up to Ashford Town (Middx) in the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division North, before going onto win the play-off final 2-0 against Broadfields United at Stag Meadow in May.

Brown is expected to use 18+ players, including a number of triallists, against Windsor & Eton to gauge the current squad's fitness levels and attributes across all areas of the pitch ahead of Dial's Southern Combination Football League Division One campaign next month.
