Dial will be looking to avenge their recent 4-0 defeat away at Worcester Park when they host an in-form Skinners' side at Alwyns Lane this evening (31 March). 7:45pm.
With the league title still an outline possibility, player-manager Steve Brown is planning to make at least half-a-dozen changes to the side that came up short against The Skinners just over a fortnight ago.
Moreover, a win this evening would all but cement Dial's promotion to the National League System (part of the English football pyramid) with four games remaining should fellow promotion-chasers CB Hounslow & Abbots slip up against Laleham on Saturday (4 April).
Under competition rule 22.B, clubs are automatically eligible for promotion if they finish within the top 5. Where a club has not applied for or is ineligible for promotion, the opportunity defaults to the second placed club, and so on, until all clubs within the top 5 are considered on a sliding scale based on their eligibility.
Based on each club winning all their games over the next four-and-a-half weeks, Worcester Park can achieve 64 points from their remaining 10 fixtures, while Battersea Ironsides can reach 60 points (from seven fixtures). Current league leaders Wimbledon Casuals can finish with 59 points (from two fixtures). Dial and Keens Park Rangers can both amass 57 points from their remaining fixtures.
Worcester Park still have Keens Park Rangers (11 March) and Battersea Ironsides (2 May) to play, with The Skinners hosting The Irons on the final league day of the season, which could decide the title. However, a lot can change between now and Saturday.
While Jordan Carter, Louie Rogers, George Mead, Callum Abraham-Barlow and Tom Adag remain doubtful for tonight's league clash, Brown is hoping to welcome back Adam Bicknell, George Frith, Stephan Langley and Finley Rose-Davies, all of whom were unavailable for Dial's Premier Challenge (League) Cup semi-final tie away to Wimbledon Casuals at the weekend.
Speaking to DialSquareFC.com on Monday (30 March), Brown said: "The boys are keen to avenge the poor performance away to Worcester Park a couple of weeks ago.
"The pitch at Alwyns Lane is completely different to the playing facilities at Worcester Park, which suits our style of play. Hopefully, it will play to our advantage and nullify their style of play.
"It will be good to have a number of players back who weren't available for the away fixture, which will give us options. It's a must-win game in the race for the title and to secure promotion," added Brown.
For supporters and football enthusiasts travelling to Alwyns Lane by train, the nearest rail station is Chertsey, which is a c. 15-minute walk (via Guildford Street and Windsor Street) to the ground. You can plan your journey here.
Alwyns Lane football ground offers very limited parking, which is principally for players and match officials. Therefore, spectators are asked to park with consideration in the neighbouring residential streets.
Admission charges apply for tonight's fixture. The clubhouse will be open from just after 5:30pm.
