Dial will play their penultimate pre-season fixture against Laleham & Kempton on Saturday (10 August) at Royal Holloway Sports Centre. 11am k.o.
The Blues finished fifth; 23 points behind Dial, during last season’s Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) Premier Division campaign. They have always provided tough opposition for The Dial and boasted the second highest goal difference in the 2023/24 season following two consecutive promotions.
Prior to the fixture, Dial boss Steve Brown confirmed that he has retained c. 80% of last season’s double-winning squad, and is in advanced discussion with several other players ahead of the new Surrey Premier County Football League season.
Straight off the back of a 3-2 win against Finchampstead last Saturday, nothing is off the table for the Dial supremo as he still weighs up his strongest XI after a hard-fought pre-season campaign to date.
Speaking to DialSquareFC.com, Brown said: "It was good to get back to winning ways against Finchampstead last weekend, especially with several players missing.
“There were plenty of positives to take away from the fixture, not least of all the goals that Harry [Rice] and Dan [Cenzano] scored. I thought we had some good passages of play and some good rotations.
“We still need to work on our shape out of possession, but these are things that we can work on over the next couple of weeks.
“Our previous matches against Laleham & Kempton have always been competitive and I don’t expect the next to be any different. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to field a strong side as we prepare for our first League match in two weeks’ time,” he added.
