With boss Steve Brown and captain Jimmy Norman both unavailable for the fixture, coach Jake Kennett will take on the managerial mantra from the technical area.

It's the first time Dial will face Lewes-based Ringmer, who were formed in the same year as The Dial in 2020 after the original club, Ringmer FC (founded in 1905), folded at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Since then, the club has gone from strength to strength, comprising an infrastructure of 14 teams, from under-18s to several veteran sides. And while The Blues have only mustered 12 wins from 42 league match to date following their promotion from Mid Sussex Football League in 2025, the club are on the right trajectory to change that.

Dial, meanwhile, will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games after beating Chessington & Hook United 3-1 at Redding Way on Tuesday (19 Sept) in the first round of the Surrey FA Saturday Premier (County) Cup. Kennett's side, in the temporary absence of Brown and his assistant Norman, also haven't conceded a league goal since the 4-1 defeat away to Infinity on 22 August.

With Danny Taylor and George Frith both still sidelined, attacking midfielder Daniel Wanyonyi is expected to make a welcome return to action after a seven-match absence due to a hamstring injury.

Experienced striker-come-defender Matt Bunyan will keep his place in the Dial backline to plug the gap, while former Dial striker Harry Rice could make his Southern Combination Football league debut after dual signing from Egham Town last night (25 Sept) to add some potency to the club's attacking options.
