Dial are back in action this afternoon (16 August 2025) when Steve Brown's side travel to Ash Manor Sports Centre to take on Tongham in the second to last pre-season friendly. 2pm k.o.
After the fixture against Worplesdon Phoenix was abandoned on Wednesday (13 August), Dial will be keen to build on their 3-0 away win over a Molesey XI eleven days ago.
The last time Dial played the Redmen was in a league match at Tongham Recreation Ground on 9 March 2024, which saw Dial win 2-0. Brown's title-winning side also defeated Tongham 5-1 in the third round of the League Cup, which Dial went onto win 4-0 against Milford & Witley in the final.
Since then, Tongham have grown in statue under boss Alex Streeter, finishing runners up to Laleham in last season's Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) Premier Division campaign.
Brown is again expected to use the match as an opportunity to look at one or two triallists, before hosting a stronger Molesey XI under the floodlights at Alwyns Lane on Tuesday (19 August) in the final pre-season fixture.
Today's fixture will be held in the grounds of Ash Manor School and is open for fans to attend. For those travelling to Ash Manor Sports Centre, the nearest rail station is Ash on the South Western Railway line (plan your journey), which is a four-minute drive / 1.1-mile walk (see route map) from the venue. Parking is available onsite and along Manor Road.
