Dial make a welcome return to Alwyns Lane this evening (19 Aug.) when they host Molesey in the final friendly fixture before the start of the new season on Saturday.
Despite beating a Molesey XI 3-0 at The Herds Renault Stadium a fortnight ago, tonight's opposition is likely to provide a sterner test, with neither The Moles' Combined Counties Football League nor Suburban Football League sides in competitive league or cup action.
Dial are expected to have a full squad available, which will give fans a taste of what to expect when Steve Brown's side step out against Battersea Ironsides in four days' time.
With 22 players already registered, competition for places is building ahead of Dial's Surrey Premier County Football League season.
Dial are expected to welcome back several key members who were unavailable last Saturday) (16 Aug.), coupled with several triallists who could play an important role in Dial's bid for silverware this coming season.
They will be guided by assistant managers Mike Kinsella and Matt Bunyan, who will take charge of team affairs against Molesey while Steve Brown is unavailable.
For supporters and football enthusiasts travelling to Alwyns Lane by train, the nearest rail station is Chertsey, which is a c. 15-minute walk (via Guildford Street and Windsor Street) to the ground. You can plan your journey here.
For those travelling by car, Alwyns Lane football ground offers very limited parking, which is principally for players and match officials. Therefore, spectators are asked to park with consideration in the neighbouring residential streets.
No admission charges apply.
