Dial face their toughest test so far this season today (31 Aug) when Steve Brown's side travel to league leaders AFC Walcountians at The Reg Madgwick Stadium. 11am k.o.

Following their convincing 2-0 win over Clanfield at Redding Way on Saturday (29 Aug), Dial are back on the road for the fourth time in five matches.

Brown will be banking on another assured performance in less than 48 hours, but will need to make do without Callum Abraham-Barlow who limped off against The Clan. Abraham-Barlow now joins a growing list of eight players sidelined with injury, with a similar number unavailable.

Midfielder Deji Adeosun could make his debut for Dial after signing from Godalming Town yesterday. Adeosun is one of several new signings to help bolster Dial's ranks and bridge the personnel deficit so early into the new season.

Brown knowns that Dial will need to play 'very well' to stop The Counts 100% winning streak. The Cobham-based club have averaged more the three league goals per game, most recently against Dorking Wanderers B, with just two in reply.

The last time the two sides met was at The Reg Madgwick Stadium on 4 March 2025, which saw Dial come from 2-1 down to win 3-2 in the Surrey Premier County Football League. It was the same season that The Counts pipped Dial to promotion to division one of the Southern Combination Football League, with Dial of course gaining promotion at the end of last season.
