Dial will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league when they travel to southwest London today (28 Feb) to play inform Battersea Ironsides at Battersea Ironsides Sports Ground. 2pm k.o.
It follows a disappointing 3-0 defeat away at CB Hounslow & Abbots in midweek, resulting in Steve Brown's side failing to closing the gap on league leaders Wimbledon Casuals and leapfrog Battersea Ironsides in the process.
Having finished outside of the top-five for the past four seasons, The Irons are having their best season to date following a merger between Battersea Ironsides F.C. and F.C. Battersea last summer to create a pathway from under-12s to senior (adult) football.
The Irons have won 11 and drawn two of their 17 league games to elevate them to second in the table, and have not lost at home since 3 May 2025. Their last defeat (4-0) was against Wimbledon Casuals on 13 December 2025.
The last and only time that Dial have visited Battersea Ironsides Sports Ground was back on 28 September 2024, which saw Steve Brown's side come away with a 3-0 win thanks a quick-fire, record breaking hat-trick from Harry Rice in dying embers of the match.
Meanwhile, Brown is expected to keep faith with the mainstay of the squad that came up short against CB Hounslow & Abbots in midweek, with striker Adam Bicknell likely to come straight into the starting XI after rejoining Dial just under a fortnight ago.
Elsewhere, Callum Abraham-Barlow and Aidan Doran are also both available to help shore up Dial's defensive lines in the absence of James Vass. However, captain Jimmy Norman and Charlie Marshall both remain doubtful after picking up knocks.
Speaking to DialSquareFC.com yesterday (27 Feb), Brown said: "We missed a lot of chances against CB Hounslow [& Abbots] in midweek which ultimately lead to us losing the game.
"We're at the business end of the season now and have some difficult games in front of us, so we cannot afford to take our foot off the gas. We need to be more clinical in front of goal to continue our push for promotion."
