Dial will be hoping to make it back to back league wins today (13 Sept.) when they face-off against Cranleigh on the 3G pitch at Glebelands School. 2pm k.o.
Having notched six points from their opening three home games, Dial boss Steve Brown believes that The Cranes will be the toughest opposition to date.
The match was originally due to be played at Alwyns Lane, but was switched to an away fixture as a result of Chertsey Town being drawn at home against Cray Valley in the second qualifying round of The FA Cup. Cranleigh's Snoxhall Field pitch was also unavailable.
The Cranes' fortunes have been rejuvenated following the managerial appointment of Sam Carpenter in December 2024, woking alongside Paul Jones.
After finishing mid-table last season, today's hosts have their sights set on a top-five finish; having already beaten last year's league runners-up AFC Cubo (2-0) and Premier Challenge (League) Cup winners AFC Royal Holloway (3-2) in their first two games. Albeit they suffered a close 3-2 home defeat against Tooting & Mitcham United U23s last Saturday (6 Sept).
Meanwhile, Dial are expected to make just one change to the side that beat Laleham 2-0 in midweek, with Aidan Doran likely to come in to the starting XI for Matt Bunyan (unavailable). Striker turned defender, Charlie Marshall, is also expected to maintain a holding role in the back-four alongside James Vass.
Just one-goal has separated the two sides over the past two meetings, with Dial edging the first 2-1 at Snoxhall Field on the opening day of the 2024/25 season, but allowing The Cranes to come from behind to draw 2-2 at Alwyns Lane in March.
Speaking to DialSquareFC.com ahead of today's match, Brown said: "I expect Cranleigh to be tough opposition today and difficult to break down.
"While we'd prefer to be playing on a grass pitch, we're accustom to playing on a 3G as it's what we train on every week, so it shouldn't be a negative for us.
"We don't have the services of Bunners [Matt Bunyan] today. Tommy Adag also remains doubtful after missing the Laleham fixture, but I expect the squad to be largely unchanged from Tuesday, so we'll see how we go. The lads know what they need to do," added Brown.
