Dial will be hoping to build on their 4-0 win over Bagshot last Saturday when they face CB Hounslow & Abbots at Green Lane in the league this evening (8 Jan). 7:45pm k.o.
After a slow start, CB Hounslow & Abbots are now one of the inform teams in the Surrey Premier County Football League, having lost just once since the end of October, including holding league leaders Wimbledon Casuals to a 1-1 draw away from home last month.
The Dragons' upturn in form in front of goal has increased from one-goal (first seven league games) to two goals per game over the past seven league games, It has seen the Hounslowsians move up to sixth in the table; just outside the five eligible promotion spots.
For Dial, last weekend was an opportunity to get back to winning ways and kick the festive habits into touch to move back up to second in the table; two points behind Casuals, but with one-game in hand.
Continuing in the same vein, Brown is again expected to have a strong squad at his disposal for the trip (subject to a pitch inspection) to Green Lane this evening, with Charlie Marshall again expected to lead the line, ably supported by Jordan Carter, Zac Hawker, George Frith, Tom Adag and Danny Taylor across the middle of the park.
Ross Ewen, James Vass, Callum Abraham-Barlow and Aidan Phillips all unavailable, but Louie Rogers is again available after missing the past two (league and cup) outings. Meanwhile, Matt Hayes is expected to continue to partner Jimmy Norman in defence after his man of the match performance against The Baggies.
Speaking ahead of tonight's (8 Jan) trip to Green Lane, Brown said: "I thought we gave a good account of ourselves against Bagshot; in freezing conditions, and I need the lads to show up with the same attitude against CB Hounslow [& Abbots], who are in good form.
"Weather permitting, I'm sure it will be a good game between two competitive teams looking for the three points. We just need to continue to create and convert more of our chances," he added.
