The Dial will embark on their toughest pre-season test yet when they travel to the Eastwood Centre to face Sheerwater F.C. tonight (1 August). 7:30pm k.o.
Speaking ahead of The Sheers' fixture, Dial boss Steve Brown said: “Sheerwater will be a tough test for us. They're three levels above us in the football pyramid, so it will be a great opportunity to see where we’re at as a group against a more established side.
“I thought we dominated the first half against Guildford last Saturday (29 July); we could have been four or five up at the break, which was encouraging. However, Sheerwater will be a different test, so I am looking for the players to put in a hard shift. That's must be the minimum requirement.
“With just a few weeks away before the start of the [Surrey County Intermediate] League season, I believe we have plenty of quality coming through, which is a nice problem to have,” added Brown.
