After last week's 2-0 victory over University Of Surrey, we travelled to Shalford hoping to continue with our improved defensive performance. However, it wasn't to be, as we only managed a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw with the home side.

In a fairly lacklustre first half, we looked the better side, but it wasn't unitil the last minute of the half that we had anything cheer. Inevitably, it was down to Nic and Watto to combine to open the scoring. Nic turning provider for our 'POTM of September' Mark Watkins, to open the scoring just a minute shy of the first half whistle.

After the resumption, things were pegged back for us by the home side, after poor defending allowed a simple cross to be nodded home by James Whicher.

It was to be a huge battle for the rest of the match, especially when Jack Leighton saw red for a professional foul 15 minutes from time.
It took a beautiful solo goal by the man of the moment, Mark Watkins, 7 minutes from the end to give us a glimmer of hope of all 3 points but, just 2 minutes later, we were level again when we allowed Shalford all the time in the world to grab a simple equaliser.

2-2 and it was certainly 2 points dropped. On we go to next week against Weysiders, but 3 points is a must from that game and we're already hoping that it's a big win to boot!
