Dial returned to winning ways this afternoon (29 Aug) after registering an important 2-0 win over Clanfield to kick-start their Southern Combination Football League Division One campaign at Redding Way.
Two first half goals from Daniel Cenzano and Matt Hinks sealed the deal for Steve Brown's side to put an end to four consecutive league and cup defeats on the road.
With the pitch showing good signs of recovering from the summer draught, Dial never looked troubled by their Hampshire opponents who still seek their first win under boss Lee Blakely this season.
Beset with injuries and dwindling player unavailability, Brown made five new signings in the 24 hours preceding the fixture, with George Douglas making his debut for Dial in goal following the absence of George Mead and Callum Miles.
Charlie Plant, Callum Wright, Oluwatomiwa Bankole, and Ilyas Boolaky also made their Dial debut following the absence of George Frith, Danny Taylor, Miles Davis and Daniel Wanyonyi - to name a few, along with a dozen or so other players, leaving just 16 fit and available players to choose from from the visit of The Clan.
